I am trying to capture a range of dates from a .pdf document and paste it into Excel but the date year keeps reverting to 2011. I have tried both options of; copying it directly to an Excel spreadsheet, and copying it to a table and pasting the table to an opened blank spreadsheet. I get two results: 1) copying the data directly to a new spreadsheet interpolates the year as 2011, 2) choosing the copy data as a table and pasting it into a spreadsheet only give me the DD/MM, not D/MM/YYY. It comes in as text and excludes the year altogether. In the example Option 2, how can I add the [desired] year to the DD/MM format, where DD/MM/YYYY would meet the desired result? Note: the correct time is captured in the adjacent column.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
I have also have experienced problems with opening a downloaded file with 2009 dates: any new date I enter subsequent to 2009 reverts back to 2009; Most frustrating. I tried entering my own dates with year 1986 and they too revert to the 2009 year, originally in the spreadsheets’ chart.

I think all of these problems may be related but need help to simply force the year I need.
I am using Excel 2007 on desktop and 2010 on Laptop.
Any ideas? <o></o>
