I am building a line chart to which displays the number of planned activities in each month for the entire year, the performance to the plan and a recovery line which shows when activities are added because the performance does not meet the plan. The first series is the cumlative planned number of activities in a year so each month shows the total number of activities that should have been completed by that month which looks like a step line. The second series is cumlative performance to the plan and if a planned activity in any month is missed, the effect is the plan will never be reached. The third series is the recovery efforts in later months to show added activities that get the efforts back on plan. I have the performance line as a solid line and the recovery line as dashed to indiciate future action. Is there a way to combine these two lines so the it looks like one line with solid display for past events and dashed for future events?
When the two lines are equal, there is not problem because the solid line shows over the dashed, but when the recovery line moves above the performance line, I am left with a Y line with one dashed and one solid leg. Is there a way to have the data in the projected performance line not display based on the current date or some scenario that makes the lines display as one? Thanks
