Date Sorting

Is there anyway after you sort date on a spreadsheet and add information to that data, to restore the information back to its original format with the changes? I have large spreadsheets that are given to me in a specific format. I usually take this info and sort to by part number to input addtional information about the part. Once I completed entering the information, I would like to restore the information to it's original state with the added information. Can anyone HELP!! Regards, Kintantay
 

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
Put a new column in front of column A. Put 1, 2, 3, down all the cells in the new column A, and put Sort as the heading...

Do your thing.

Sort column A, then delete column A.
