Can someone please tell me how to format a cell for date addition (10/14/1999 + 7 years = 10/14/2006). Thank you.

### Excel Facts

Workdays for a market open Mon, Wed, Friday?
Yes! Use "0101011" for the weekend argument in NETWORKDAYS.INTL or WORKDAY.INTL. The 7 digits start on Monday. 1 means it is a weekend.

=DATE(YEAR(A1)+7,MONTH(A1), DAY(A1))

Where A1 holds the start date.

Formatting the cell won't achieve this.

If A1 = 10/14/1999 and A2 = 7, your formula would be:
=DATE(YEAR(A1)+A2,MONTH(A1),DAY(A1))
