Date/Time Field variance

Preface this with thanks to any assistance provided. I have two fields that are imported into MS Excel via .pdf extractor. The fields contain date/time values in the following format:

Field A
6/4/08 14:14

Field B
6/5/08 14:25

What I need to do is create a separate column that formulates the variance from Field B & A. For the example above, the result would yield 24 hours, 11 minutes (or can this be converted to decimal in days?). Can this be done with the fields in this format. Or should first perform a text to column and split out the times and then perform the calculation? If I do this, I would need to concatenate the date variance and time variance into a single field.

That returns a decimal value. My apologies, I failed to mention that the date/time fields are set to TEXT.

If you want it to show as 24 hours, 11 minutes, use the same formula and format the result cell as:

[h] "hours, " m "minutes"
