I have a linked table that has a date field with date and time.
how can i search by day. IE if i want data for only one day i have to put in between dd/mm/yyyy 00:01 and dd/mm/yyyy 23:59 .
What i want to be able to do is just enter dd/mm/yyyy?

Can Excel fill bagel flavors?
You can teach Excel a new custom list. Type the list in cells, File, Options, Advanced, Edit Custom Lists, Import, OK
In the field area of the query grid, you can change the date/time of the field to just a date with this expression.

MyNewDateOnly: DateSerial(Year(MyOriginalDateField), Month(MyOriginalDateField), Day(MyOriginalDateField))

The DateValue function also seems to work on this:

MyNewDateOnly: DateValue([MyOriginalDateField])

Then, you can put your date criteria on this new field.
