Hello, I'd like to calculate the number of days between dates -- Excel 2007
I've formatted the columns to Dates-- Aust so they read 23-12-2006 etc
when I put =C3-B3 for the below , I get a #value instead of 11 days

ColB ColC ColD
23-12-1992 03/01/1993 #VALUE!

can someone advise where I'm going wrong please

thanks Keith

I reformatted the dates as suggested -- in English Aust but not all cells changed !
about every 2nd/3rd cell still shows as follows

23-12-1992 03-January-1993 #VALUE!

how can I sweettalk Excel into changing the dates

regards Keith

Hi Keith:

You may want to look into using DATA>Text-to-columns

after selecting the range of interest, invoke Data>Text-to-columns
then in Step 3 of 3 choose Date in Column_Data_Format box
and choose D/M/Y in the dropDown to the right

I hope this helps.
