Hiya,

I have a range of dates ( DD/MM/YY ), is it possible in the adjacent colum, show the DAY name eg :-

A1 = 27/01/04 - B1 Would = THUR


is this possible?

If you start asking yourself if now is a good time to save your Excel workbook, the answer is Yes
If you want THU, try = text(A1,"ddd")

For THUR, you'd need something like =UPPER(LEFT(TEXT(A1,"dddd"),4))

also.......can you generate a date from a weeknumber, eg :-

WEEKNUMBER 4 - Return 24/01/05 ( 24th being 1st day )
