I am having trouble with an excel sheet designed to pull in stock quotes by data link. I have written a simple macro that runs continuously and copies/pastes a cell exactly at the turn of each hour. The problem is when the macro is running the data links won't update. Any advice would be appreciated.

Why can't spreadsheets drive cars? They crash too often!
If you are using Application.OnTime, that may be your problem. It is difficult for me to diagnose your problem because I do not have access to the stream you are using. Post your code and any other details and maybe we can work around your problem. Also note the version of Office you are using.

I was trying to run a continuous macro with dde links at the same time which apparently cannot be done. So I did use application.ontime to set up a macro to run exactly on each hour. A problem has occurred with the on time event firing off not exactly on the hour despite the fact that I set it for each hour, zero minutes, and zero seconds. Sometimes it runs 2-4 min early, sometimes 2-4 minutes late. Most of the time fine. Is this a common problem with on time events? What can be done to correct it?

I am running Windows 2000 Professional.
