HI,
I am running DDE links from within VBA using DDEinitiate then DDErequest and finally DDEterminate.
Most of the time these work great, however once in a while a get a Dynamic Data Exchange window pop up asking for a data source to be selected. There is usually one or two in the list and the correct one is highlighted. Every time this appears VBA justs sits there waiting for OK to be clicked.
How do i stop this message box from appearing?

Thanks

Mark Edwards

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
Hi Mark,

In the Tools pull down menu/ option/ Edit/ -

Uncheck "Ask to update Automatic links".

Hope this helps
