Hello again,

I am using excel to extract data from a PLC.

I can link and transfer data back and forth from a work sheet but I am wondering why I have to transfer from the sheet and can not just transfer directly from VB.

This is what i use...

RSIchan = DDEInitiate ("RSLinx", "Turbsim")
DDEPoke RSIchan, "F8:5", Range("[turbine_sim.xls]GTCLRC!A57")
DDETerminate (RSIchan)

What I would like to do is not have to run a calc back to the sheet first to transfer the data.

Something along these lines, but I cant get it to work

DDEPoke RSIchan, "B3:0/7", MyVar

Where "MyVar" is some calculated value.

Any Ideas?

How can you turn a range sideways?
Copy the range. Select a blank cell. Right-click, Paste Special, then choose Transpose.
