I opened an excel sheet from a friend in Germany and it seems that my defaults on number formats have been change to European formats etc. How to I change them back ?

Excel Facts

Pivot Table Drill Down
Double-click any number in a pivot table to create a new report showing all detail rows that make up that number
Click Format > Style - with Style Name showing Normal, and all boxes (style includes) checked. Click Modify... change whatever needs to be changed (ie: number format/currency to $)
