I'm trying to find book.xlt so I can adapt the default template. I'm searching all over the company's network to no avail. Is there a way within Excel to find the folder location where book.xlt is located and it's drawing from?

Thanks,

Dave

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN
each net work computer pulls from the computer hard so each computer will pull its own book.xlt, so if you need your then go to programs & files then Microsoft Office folder then Templates folder, then the rest can be defrent mine is 1033 folder and Presentation Designs folder.

Thanks Diablo. I did not find Book.xlt, but I did find the XLStart directory on my D: drive. I've since discovered that if I create a book.xlt and put in that directory, it will use the one I created as the default. I still don't know where the other default was, but I no longer care since it's using the new default I created.

Open Windows Explorer and Seach your drive or the Networks drive for Book.xlt. It's possible you may not have a Book.xlt

As I said, you may not have one. I've seen it before. Maybe someone deleted it
