Question,
Once you have defined a name can you enter this name into the criteria of filtering a list. I have created two names with separate cells, i.e. START and FINISH on sheet1. Dates will b entered into both these cells. On sheet2 i wish to Autofilter a row of dates. With this autofilter i select custom and am going to auto-filter information based on the define name Start and Finish. However when i put in jus Start in the criteria for Greater than and Finish for Less then.
When i do this it doesnt show any dates.
Any ideas?

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
No, sorry, it doesn't work that way. What is the real question here? Are you looking to filter for xx criteria? Can you explain the logic here?

The logic is that i have a sheet containing date. In this sheet i have a Date Received field. I then have a main sheet call menu.In this i want to input data into two cells, Start Date and a Finish Date. I want to retrieve data in the Date Received field greater then the Start Date and less then the Finish Date.
I was hopin to get this working once and then using a macro to be able to enter dynamic data in Start and Finish date and then hitting a button assigned to a macro that will find the data.
