Defined Name for auto updating graphs

Hi there

I'm trying to make the monthly graph updating a bit less time consuming. I understand that there may be a way to do this but for some reason I dont appear to be doing it correctly.

Here's an image of the table that has all my data:

So basically, each Period, new numbers go in, and then make a graph as below:

(Ignore the target line)

So is it possible to do this? I seem to be able to do it when it's new data that is being entered vertically (as in a new row below) but not able to get my head around doing it horizontally.

Sorry if this isn't very clear.
