I am using Excel 2007 and need to delete columns with 60,000 + rows and it takes a long time. Any suggestions to improve Excel's performance?

Excel Facts

Ambidextrous Undo
Undo last command with Ctrl+Z or Alt+Backspace. If you use the Undo icon in the QAT, open the drop-down arrow to undo up to 100 steps.
Hi,

Please can you show us how you are deleting them at the moment and then perhaps we'll be able to suggest some improvements? What determines if a column should be deleted?

The columns to be deleted are chosen my management.

I am not at work at the moment, but believe the method to delete is highlighting the column and then delete column

Clarification:
I am interested in deleting columns not rows.

The large number of rows makes the delete take a long time.

Are there any Excel 2007 options, etc that will make it run faster?

Thank you
