Delete part of a cell

Hi all,
I have a column with the cells containing time and %,
eg. 1:05:42 29.0%
Does anyone know how i can delete or remove the percentage from of the cell, so that the cell would just read 1:05:42?
The percentage is always 2 numbers and 1 decimal place followed by % (eg. xx.x%), but the number of digits in the time values vary (eg. xx:xx:xx, xx:xx, x:xx:xx).
I dont want to use text to columns to split the cell, so if anyone knows a formula or macro then it would be greatly appreciated

Try this

Sub deleteP()
MyString = Cells(1, 1).Value
pstn = InStr(MyString, "%")
NewString = Left(MyString, pstn - 5)
Cells(1, 1).Value = NewString
End Sub

I put your number in cell B3
Then use this formula in any other cell
=LEFT(B3,LEN(B3)-1)

LEN counts the characters
Left looks at the cell and takes the number of characters calculated in the LEN function, -1 eliminating the %

Does that do it?
