I frequently run a report on our mainframe computer that get delivered to me via email in a .TXT file. The file is multiple pages, and each page has the same header and footer type information: Report Title Date Page numbers column headers summary stats at the bottom of the last page, etc. I have no problems parsing the actual date, but it is a real chore deleting the rows of unwanted data after doing a sort on the entire file to group items together. I would like to do the actual deleting with VBA code. Any suggestions; Please HELP!!!<o:p></o:p>

Excel Can Read to You
Customize Quick Access Toolbar. From All Commands, add Speak Cells or Speak Cells on Enter to QAT. Select cells. Press Speak Cells.
try recording your actions and reviewing the code.

In the instance of deleting rows, look for common items where you can use the filter to mass delete in one hit. Even if there is NOT an identifier, you could run an extra column down the side that identifies the rows you want to delete. Something to consider.
