I have created a macro that will copy all the data i have as values in another workbook and save this as a specific name. However i want to delete the copied macro button off the new worksheet but as this name changes each time the macro is run (ie command button 39 or 41) the code is halted as it looks towards the button name off the original. I need the genric name for the button ...i am stumped

thanks

Fastest way to copy a worksheet?
Hold down the Ctrl key while dragging tab for Sheet1 to the right. Excel will make a copy of the worksheet.

Murrayuk,

Go to your master spreadsheet, Select the command button by right clicking and selecting format control.

Next select the properties tab in the popup box.

Check the option for Don't Move or Size with Cells.

An area can now be copied from one sheet to another without copying the button.

Hope this helps.
