Deleting Duplicate values

Hi there,

Im working with a data base which has so many duplicate entries. I need to the duplicates based on a condition.

the condition is if the account (column b) is appears twice on the same day (column g) remove the record.

I tried the data - delete duplicate records but it removed my records from 2900ish to 70 sooo didnt quite work

Does your value in column G only have the date, or does it also include a time component?

If only the date, the "Remove Duplicates" functionality should work, just be sure to only include columns B and G in determining the duplicates (when that menu shows up after clicking "Remove Duplicates).

If the date also has the time, you can create a helper column to remove the time component, and use this in the "Remove Duplicates" functionality (instead of column G).
One way to remove the time component is to use the INT function, i.e.
=INT(G2)

oh, i did do this right i just removed the wrong field 5 times in a row hahaha! i did have time with date but created the text (a1,dd etc) to bypass that issue but it helps if is use my new column to delete them :')
