Deleting Duplicates Macro Upgrade

Hey I have a piece of code

Sub DeleteDupsnew()

    Dim LastRow         As Long
     
    LastRow = Range("A65536").End(xlUp).Row
    For x = LastRow To 1 Step -1
        If Application.WorksheetFunction.CountIf(Range("A1:A" & x), Range("A" & x).Text) > 1 Then
            Range("A" & x).EntireRow.Delete
        End If
    Next x
     
End Sub

which as you may note deletes duplicates in a column in this case column A.

Not being the greatest yet with VBA what do I need to do to this code to make it work on all columns up to BX.

Is there away to put a loop in, I tried and failed

Sounds doable... but..

Do you mean if the ENTIRE ROW from A to BX is a duplicate?
OR
If ANY 1 (or more) Columns in the row is a duplcate ?

Good Question I should have been more specific

I want the Macro to continue to test individual columns, so cheques column A for duplicates and deletes as appropriate then column B then C etc etc.

Does that make more sense.

Yes, this should do it..
I also added in some code to turn off screenupdating,events and calculation. That should make it run much faster. You can remove it if you want..

It works but have one problem, it is deleting the row rather than the cell,

For example if I try it with 2 columns as an example -

I imagine the code is deleting the row not just the cell, is it possible to change it so only the cell is deleted not the entire row.

To be fair, the code you provided in the original post deleted the entire row as well....I just added to the original code...

But to make it just delete the cells, change this line

Range("A" & x).EntireRow.Delete

to

Cells(x, y).Delete Shift:=xlUp

That should do it...
