Deleting duplicates

Hi,

Hopefully there's a quick solution to this question :)

I have say for example 20,000 names and addresses in a worksheet. Because these names have been pulled from various databases, I have duplicates...

Is there anyway that I can set a formula or some other method to pick up the name/post code?

And once it's picked up the duplicates, I'd like to be able to delete them.

Thanks in advance

Excel Facts

Ambidextrous Undo
Undo last command with Ctrl+Z or Alt+Backspace. If you use the Undo icon in the QAT, open the drop-down arrow to undo up to 100 steps.
if you want to delete any duplicate names, and then delete any duplicate post codes this should be quite easy :

for names (lets assume they're in column A)
the following formula will give you any duplicates :

=COUNTIF($A$1:$A$2000,A1)>1

copied down, will give "TRUE" for any duplicates and "FALSE" if it's unique....

just then filter on the TRUEs and delete them

follow the same logic for the post code column
