Deleting Excel spreadsheets - it creates "Copy of sheename"

When I delete spreradsheets that are no longer needed the software creates a safety copy (which I don't want) entitled "Copy of -----".

How do I get rid of "Copy" so I don't have to wade through them.

Can you sort left to right?
To sort left-to-right, use the Sort dialog box. Click Options. Choose "Sort left to right"
