I have sent a small sample of the Pivot Table. I need to delete the % subtotals for the individual rows and only show the total % subtotal listed at the bottom.
Thanks for the help

Whats the difference between CONCAT and CONCATENATE?
The newer CONCAT function can reference a range of cells. =CONCATENATE(A1,A2,A3,A4,A5) becomes =CONCAT(A1:A5)
Right click on the Count of GRADE % field and select Field Settings...

Then select None under Subtotals.

Norie,

Doesn't work. If I right click in the row subtotal you get the "Summarize By:" option when you right click on field settings.

The only way to use the "none" option is if you right click in the subtotal at the bottom of the table, then all subtotals are deleted.

What version of Excel are you using?

I'm using 2000 and can't seem to find a Summarize By option.

Perhaps I'm missing something.

Not the row subtotal, click on the field itself and then you get the subtotal options. The summarise by options you are looking at are in field settings for the numbers themselves.

Using Excel 2003.

But, to get the subtotals, I am using the "grade" field in the Data Field of the Pivot Table and asking it to show the % of the row total. But all I need is the % of the row total for the total at the bottom, not for each individual row.

Ken,

Don't get it! No matter where I click, other than the total at bottom, which I want to keep, I get the "summarize by".

As an example, in the following table you would right click on the a or d or f or g or h etc in cells A5:A9. The dialog box that would appear would give you the option to remove subtotals
