Hi there,
I hope someone can help me with the following:
- I'm trying to create a type of survey in Excel whereby I want to use data validation to have the user select from a range of data in a cell. I'm able to create one data validation but my problem relates to multiple/dependency data validation.
My question is, once I have set up the data validation to select specific data in one cell, is it possible to then have the following cell display a new data validation depending on what was selected in the first cell?
E.g., cell number one states 'Please select Country' and it lists countries 'A', 'B', 'C', etc...
Once I select 'A' I want the next cell to read 'please select city' while the available data for cities to select from will differ for that cell based on whether I select country 'A' or country 'B'....if I selected country 'A' the cities to choose from should be '1', '2' etc while if I selected country 'B' the cities to choose from should be '3', '4' etc.
I hope this makes sense, otherwise let me know! I would really appreciate your help!
