I need a formula to retreive a value from a table on another sheet. However, the row and column of the cell I want is dependent on other cells. I have one cell on my active sheet whose value will match one row on the table, another cell whose value will match one column.

Want I need is something with =DGET('Sheet name',[choose column based on what cell X says],[choose row based on what cell Y says],[display this value in cell Z])

but since I'm new to Excel, I have no idea how to format this. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

How to show all formulas in Excel?
Press Ctrl+` to show all formulas. Press it again to toggle back to numbers. The grave accent is often under the tilde on US keyboards.
Welcome to the board... What about vlookup? I don't remember the exact sequence off the top of my head but I bet it would work. Check out the help file.

Good Luck
