could someone help me please I would like to create a formula that will show differences between first, second, third etc

like this

With your source data in A1:B6 (including headings) try

C2: =IF(A2=1,B2-INDEX($B$2:$B$6,MATCH(2,$A$2:$A$6,0)),B2-INDEX($B$2:$B$6,MATCH(1,$A$2:$A$6,0)))

Copy down as required.

Assuming your data is in A1:B6, try this in C2 --
Code:
=B2-VLOOKUP(1,$A$2:$B$6,2,FALSE)
Then fill down
