difference in dates converted into months

Hi folks,
can the difference in dates converted into months? for example:
if today is 08.06.07 and the future date is 12.31.07, in cell the difference can come out to be like 4 months and 23 days. Also, if the the number of days can also be known as in the above example it should be 145?
Any help will be appreciated.

Day difference:

Simply

=A1-B1

where A1 holds future date, and B1 earlier date.

You can use DATEDIF to get month/days diff:

Excel Workbook
	A	B	C
1	31/12/2007	06/08/2007	147.00
2
3			4 months 25 days

=DATEDIF(A1, A2, "M")

Where A1 in end date and A2 is start date
