You can see from the above image that I have managed to disable the "Share" button in the Ribbon by using the following Ribbon XML:

<command idMso="Collaborate" enabled="false" />

The Id of the Share button is "Collaborate", but I have been unable to find the equivalent Id of the "Sign in" button - can anyone help?

Regards,

Greg M

Excel Facts

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.

Hi All,

The following link shows how to hide the sign-in button by using the registry, but I still haven't managed to hide/disable it using Ribbon XML:

Office 2016 share button IdMso

Maybe someone will find this useful/interesting.
