Is it possible (in office 2013) to disable the "Sort A to Z" and "Sort Z to A" buttons (the ones that do the automatic sort), but still allow the user to sort using the main Sort button (the one that displays the Sort dialog box that allows you to choose columns, sort by values/colour etc., and specify ascending or descending).

The reason for the question is that a member of staff keeps managing to break data files by selecting part of the data and clicking the automatic sort button.

I still want to be able to sort data, just not using either of the buttons that apply the sort without showing you any of the sorting options being used.
