Does anyone know how to disable a range of cells on a worksheet?

One of the sheets in a workbook has cells that are disabled. They are greyed out and when I move the cursor over them, the cursor is an arrow, not a cross. I cannot click in any of these cells.

Thanks!

You can teach Excel a new custom list. Type the list in cells, File, Options, Advanced, Edit Custom Lists, Import, OK
I think what you're talking about are protected cells. In Protection options, you can select to have cells not clickable when the sheet is locked. Being greyed out is probably a result of formatting.

To do this, you'll need to unlock all the cells that you want to allow entry/selection on, then protect the sheet with the above mentioned option. All cells are protected by default, so that's why you pick the ones you want to change and unlock them first.

Hope this helps!
