Disabling protected cell alert.

Hi.

I'm locking various cells and I want to disable the alert message that appears when an attempt is made to change the value in a locked cell.

Application.DisplayAlerts = False only seems to work whilst VBA code is running.

Any help appreciated.

Can't you uncheck "Select Locked Cells" when you protect the sheet ? Doing so you will never end up in a locked cell, therefore no alert message.
