Some software when installed adds items to the excel menu bar namely a DDE (dynamic data exchange) software. Is there any way to disable the excel part so the software does not initialize when excel is started? It’s interfering with another DDE software and the only way to remove the interference it is to uninstall the software. Is this is a macro that starts with excel? I thought it could be in an excel ini file.

Hi
I would imagine that you are dealing with an addin. On your worksheet menu, choose tools, addins. Uncheck the addin causing the grief.
