Disappearing Excel File / Content

Hi,
I was working on an Excel (professional plus 2010) workbook (circa 11 worksheets). When I went to use the split view function the content just disappeared and left me with the Excel frame as if there were no workbook open.

When going into the VBA editor I can see the worksheets are there, but I can't access them. They are all shown as visible.

Any ideas how to recover the file and what has happened?

Excel Facts

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.
Sorry, I have just found that I pressed the 'Hide' button. By pressing the 'Unhide' function it all re-appeared.
