Display message whilst running macro

I have a macro that runs a number of routines. This has to open and close certain workbooks over a network, save files etc. This takes a little time and I was wondering if anyone out there has something that I can use that will let me display a message whilst it is running.

Eg. Please wait while routine completes!

Maybe even a graphic on there with an egg timer (or is the egg timer too much!

Thanks

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN
Is there an echo in here ??
