I've a cell on a time recording spreadsheet in which I will manually enter flexi-time carried over from last month. This works well when a positive value is entered, however I can't configure it so that it accepts a negative time value. Does anyone know how to do this?

I've got it set to (hh:mm) and I've activated the 1904 date system to enable negative values.

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
You can enter negative time in Excel this way

=-"15:21"

or more complicated finding the decimal equivalent and dividing by 24

=-15.35/24
