Display previous year end date automatically

Can anybody please tell me the way to display the previous year end date automatically if I key in my current date? For example, I was the date 31/12/2008 displayed automatically in cell B2 when I key 24/03/2009 in cell A2.

=DATE(YEAR(A2)-1,12,31)
