Hello.
How can I format cells so that ratios such as 24/36, 100/205, 45/110, etc. are kept "as is" and not reduced?
Thanks, Andy.

How to calculate loan payments in Excel?
Use the PMT function: =PMT(5%/12,60,-25000) is for a $25,000 loan, 5% annual interest, 60 month loan.
As long as you dont precede by an "=" sign. Then Excel should just accept these as text entries and display as typed.

To Display result as Fractions instead of percent then change cell format to #/#

How?

Format/cells/custom/ and set format to #/#

24/36 is 0.66667. A prpoer fraction would be 2/3 which is what you get after formating as above. Unfortunately this means that 24/36 would show as 2/3's. I don't know how you'd stop it reducing to lowest fraction ?

Hope it helps.

Hi. I can enter numbers as fractions okay, but I need to prevent it automatically reducing it - so that 20/30 doesn't become 2/3 etc. Andy.
