A1 Date (user entered value)
B1 =Text(A1,"ddd")
C1 Arrive Time (user entered value)
D1 Dept Time (user entered value)
E1 =If(IsBlank(C1),"",Mod(D1-C1,1)*24)
F1 Afterhours Home Work (user entered value)
G1 =E1+F1

Problem:
If 'C1' is blank, then value "" placed in E1 -- which causes #VALUE in G1 and all the way down that column

HOWEVER, if I don't put "" in E1, then formula displays a 0 all the way down that column when every other column is blank (undesirable)

Excel Facts

How to fill five years of quarters?
Type 1Q-2023 in a cell. Grab the fill handle and drag down or right. After 4Q-2023, Excel will jump to 1Q-2024. Dash can be any character.
Change G1 to =IF(E1="","",E1+F1) or you could use =IF(ISERROR(E1+F1),"",E1+F1)
