Is it possible to display alphanumeric information in a cell alongside a variable?
If so, how would this be coded?
Example: Cell A2 contains =A1+”dogs” yields an error message and not the desired outcome of 5 dogs. (A1=5)

Many thanks,
Tom F

In A2 enter:

=A1&" dogs"

You could also use the following Custom Format in cell A1:
###,###" dogs"
although obviously that is only useful if you always want dogs.
