Displaying text based on another cell value

Hi all new member here. I'm not a total newbie to excel but I'm having trouble with some conditional formatting.

I need cell Q14 to display the word "NG" if the value of cell L17 is 1. If the value of L17 is 0 then Q14 needs to display "OK". (no quotations of course ;))

I already have Q14 to change colors based on the above conditions, the final goodness would to have the text. I know this is probably very simple but I just can't get it working. Thanks in advance for responses.

Try this...

An empty cell will evaluate as 0 so I'm assuming you don't want the empty cell to qualify as 0.

=IF(L17<>"",IF(L17=1,"NG",IF(L17=0,"OK","")),"")
