First off, I would like to say hello and thank you. I have been reading this site for a few days and it has been a great help. Today, I have run into something that I was unable to find an exact answer for and was hoping someone else has said answer :)

On sheet 1 I have a Data Validation List that pulls from Sheet2. According to what is in this field, I would like to display text that is located elsewhere on Sheet 2.

Example:
If Data List Reads: A;
Cells C7:G11 are to match E8:J12 on Sheet 2 (Text)

If Data List Reads: B;
Cells C7:G11 are to match E2:J6 on Sheet 2 (Text)

and so on.

I'm sorry if the explination is a bit confusing, I'm typically terrible at explaning things. Thanks in advance

Edit: Using XP but needs to be savable to 97-2003 (.xls) format

Excel Facts

Format cells as time
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+2 to format cells as time. (Shift 2 is the @ sign).
you can embed some IF statements into your C7:G11 cells. Then copy this for all your C7:G11.

=if(A1="A",Sheet2!E8,if(A1="B",Sheet2!E2 ...

I do not understand how to use VLOOKUP for this task unfortunately and the nested IFs are not changing as the field changes. Perhaps I am just explaning it wrong?
