Hi all!

I get this message when I start Excel:

.doc: file format is not valid

I have no auto_open() macro.
Excel is not prevented from running, I just have to click "ok" to continue using.
I am running XL2000 on Windows2000.

Any ideas, this is kind of annoying,
Abundant Thanks,
Corticus

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
Check your xlStart folder and see if somehow a Word file got saved there.

Nothing in XLStart,

I think your right about an .doc file being saved somewhere XL doesn't like...

I'm still looking, though...

Thanks for such a fast reply!
