Good Morning,

I have been trying to create a report which takes into account the number of work actions undertaken in the year to date over the current number of days in the year.

For example i have worked 100 different actions on 28/11/2005, now i want to be able to calculate the average rate of actions per day based on what day it is in 2005 i.e. 100(actions)/300(the number of days that have elapsed in 2005, with 365 being the maximum).

Is this possible? :biggrin:

Excel Facts

Format cells as time
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+2 to format cells as time. (Shift 2 is the @ sign).
You can get the number of days so far this year with

=TODAY()-DATE(YEAR(TODAY()),1,0)

does that help you at all?

To get the number of days elapsed this year. (at least within 1 day)

=Mod(Today(),365.25)

Looks like you want:

#Actions/Mod(Today(),365.25)

Hi,

Thanks for the info really helped. Further to the above i tried modifying the function:

=TODAY()-DATE(YEAR(TODAY()),1,0)

To

=TODAY()-DATE(MONTH(TODAY()),1,0)

However this does not give me what i really need :LOL:

Thanks.

Sorry , hit submit 2 early. What i basically need is the above function by year, and another by month or more specifically the function to find the number of days in current month.

Thanks
