When I run the following line of code sCorrectMFGName shows ""

sCorrectMFGName = Worksheets("MFG").Range(B7).FormulaLocal

There is a Worksheet named MFG, Range B7 has "Atmel"

Is there something worng with my code or does the worksheet have to be active or selected?

Excel Facts

Using Function Arguments with nested formulas
If writing INDEX in Func. Arguments, type MATCH(. Use the mouse to click inside MATCH in the formula bar. Dialog switches to MATCH.
Maybe that was just a typo, but you need quotes around B7

Also, try .Value instead of .FormulaLocal

Haven't looked up Val VS FormulaLocal not sure what the difference is but will find out.

Thanks

FormulaLocal will return the FORMULA, Value will return the VALUE.

If the cell doesn't contain a formula, FormulaLocal will return the value of the cell.
