I need to get a word cound from 140 excel files.

Does anyone have any ideas how I can do it?

I don't want to calculate cells with just numbers and they have to be words.

Better still If I could get all the text into one word document, that would be even better.

Many thanks

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
Hi - sounds like the requiremetns are a little too broad at this stage...

Re the "getting it all into word"...need more info on

a) folder structure & naming convention of the files
b) contents of the workbooks

more info please...
