Don't want time field to update

I am creating a ticket based on the date and time. I have a cell that I entered =now(). I changed the format to yymmddhhmm. My problem is everytime a cell is updated the ticket number changes if time as gone by. I have been trying to figure out an if function, but I have faild so for. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Do a Board Search for Time Stamp. Short of a keyboard shortcut (CTRL+, you'll need some VBA. That topic will turn up plenty of relevant examples.
