Dear All,
I am using MS EXCEL 2007 and for an unknown reason, at least for me, I have not been able to open EXCEL files when I double-click on them. I can open them from the FILE->OPEN menu. The message I get is :"There was an problem sending the command to the program". The program opens but the file does not.
Could anyone give me me a hand to address this issue?
Kind regards,

NIOCORDERO

Why can't spreadsheets drive cars? They crash too often!
Does the name of the file which will not open have a space in it?

Can you open a file using double-click if the file name does not have a space in it?

Right click the Office button (top left), click Excel Options, clock Advanced, scroll down to General and make sure that "Ignore other applications..." is not ticked.

Thank you very much indeed Mr. VoG, issue sorted. Could you please elaborate a bit on this option or provide me with a link to find more information.
Kind regards,
