I have a table that has dates in column 1, shifts (1, 2, 3, 4, or 5) in column 2, and percentages in column 3. I need to return a percentage given a certain date and shift. I don't know of any way to do a double vlookup. Please help.

Convert text numbers to real numbers
Select a column containing text numbers. Press Alt+D E F to quickly convert text to numbers. Faster than "Convert to Number"
OK - but if you don't tell us what you're doing, we can't help you fix it! How are you're dates stored, what range of cells are we talking about? Which method did you try? What errors did you get?
