Hi,

I'm trying to download a CSVfile from a webpage directly into excel.

this is the URL from the webpage:
http://online.wsj.com/mdc/public/page/2_3024-NYSE.html?mod=mdc_h_usshl

on that page it has a "save to spreadsheet" link with the following URL:
http://online.wsj.com/public/resources/documents/NYSE.CSV

Now when I click on "save to spreadsheet" I get the usual pop-up with the question "save as" .... . Is there a way so write some VBA-code that I can attach to a button that takes out that manual intervention?

thanks in advance for your input

Regards

JL

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
hi Joe,

been away on holiday but tried ur code. Somewhere I get stuck in determining the right amount of tabs needed to land on the link "save to spreadsheet". Ive tried ranges from 10 to 35. And I never got to it. Is there a way to do a find for the text string on the webpage and put that in the code, then I am on the right spot right away

thx

JL
